TGIF!!
Let's chat color!
Benjamin Moore just announced it's color of the year...

and it's Metropolitan AF-690. Quite the difference from the vibrant color chosen from last year.
A certain kind of elegance
"Calm, composed and effortlessly sophisticated...exudes glamour, beauty and balance." ~Benjamin Moore website
Benjamin Moore's 2019 color of the year has an elegance, soothing feel to it. It's a color, when painting walls or cabinets will allow the other elements in the space to be the focus. When adding art, flowers, bolder pattern on furniture or window drapes, this color allows those items to stand out in the space. This color is beautiful when layered with other grays and neutrals for a soft unified pallet. It's a color that can easily be invested into painting a living room or kitchen and allow the home's tangible items to change with each season or as style changes throughout the next few years.
As you can see below, the color can adapt to it's environment, by complementing the other shades in the space; and don't forget about light. Having natural versus artificial light and cool versus warm light can alter a color a bit allowing undertones to be more prominent or subtle in the background.
