Spring Refresh!

Tuesday's Design Tips!

I just know spring is right around the corner...even through I have at least 4' of snow in my yard. The temps are looking good this next week and I cannot wait to see that sunshine! Looking around all the sites of what's new, I am defiantly having spring fever. I think I will need to make some changes around the house to prepare for the lighter, brighter spring colors. Below are a few ideas to get you thinking about switching out for the good weather that won't cost too much and take up too much space to store.

Bedding

Plan to switch out your bedding in your bedrooms. With lighter fabrics and spring colors will help lift that heavy winter mood.

Florals

Spring florals can add lovely color to any space. There are two ways to add spring color to your rooms: Purchase a spring colored vase and/or place faux or real flowers around your home. Faux flowers can be a wonderful addition to your spring decor as you don't have to worry about watering them, they don't die, and can look real!

Throw pillows and blankets

Switching out your winter pillows for spring inspired throw pillows is a bright idea! And spring time here in Minnesota still has chilly nights and some days; so a light blanket draped over my favorite lounge chair is a must.

Photography and Art Work

Switching out some of your winter photos and art work to colorful spring photos and art will brighten up your walls that you pass everyday.

Kitchen Dish Towels, Napkins, and Utensils

Adding some bright functional pieces to your kitchen will bring that pop of spring to your kitchen.

Scents

Candles and diffuses are great to add spring scents to your home. I'm ready to smell lavender, wildberry, honeysuckle, etc...
